출입국시 많이 쓰이는 영어 표현들

아이들 키우는 동안에 우리 부부는 기러기로 살았다. 그러다 보니 한국과 호주를 오가며 장거리 가족 상봉을 하곤 했었는데, 오늘은 잦은 비행기 탑승으로 세관 출입을 할 때 많이 쓰이는 영어 표현을 알아보자.

1.Passport (여권): "I need to see your passport, please."
(여권을 보여 주세요.)

2.Visa (비자): "Do you have a valid visa for this country?"
(이 나라에 유효한 비자가 있나요?)

3.Immigration (출입국관리): "I'll be going through immigration soon."
(곧 출입국 절차를 거칠 것이에요.)

4.Customs (세관): "I have some items to declare at customs."
(세관에서 신고할 물건이 몇 개 있어요.)

5.Entry/Exit (입국/출국): "This is the entry gate, and that's the exit gate."
(여기가 입국 게이트이고, 저기가 출국 게이트예요.)

6.Arrival/Departure (도착/출발): "Your flight's departure time is at 3:45 PM."
(당신의 비행기는 오후 3시 45분에 출발해요.)

7.Boarding Pass (탑승권): "I've already printed my boarding pass."
(탑승권을 이미 출력했어요.)

8.Baggage Claim (수하물 찾기): "Let's head to the baggage claim area to get our luggage."
(수하물 찾는 곳으로 가서 짐을 찾아봐요.)

9.Declare (신고하다): "You must declare any items over the duty-free limit."
(면세 한도를 초과하는 물건은 반드시 신고해야 해요.)

10.Security Check (보안 검사): "Please remove your shoes and place them in the bin for the security check."
(신발을 벗고 보안 검사를 위해 바구니에 넣어 주세요.)

11.Passport Control (여권 확인): "Passport control is on the other side of the terminal."
(여권 확인은 터미널 반대편에 있어요.)

12.Baggage Allowance (수하물 허용량): "What's the baggage allowance for this flight?"
(이 비행기의 수하물 허용량이 얼마인가요?)

13.Connecting Flight (환승 편): "I have a connecting flight in Frankfurt."
(나는 프랑크푸르트에서 환승하는 편이에요.)

14.Customs Declaration Form (세관 신고서): "Please fill out the customs declaration form."
(세관 신고서를 작성해 주세요.)

15.Immigration Officer (출입국관리관): "The immigration officer asked me a few questions."
(출입국관리관이 몇 가지 질문을 했어요.)

16.Duty-Free Shop (면세점): "Let's stop by the duty-free shop before our flight."
(비행 전에 면세점에 들러봐요.)

17.Non-Resident (거주자 아님): "I'm a non-resident here, just visiting."
(나는 여기 거주자가 아니에요, 방문객이에요.)

18.Baggage Carousel (수하물 터널): "Our luggage should be coming out on carousel number 3."
(우리 수하물은 3번 수하물 터널에서 나와야 해요.)

19.Transit Area (환승 구역): "I'll be waiting for you in the transit area after I clear security."
(보안 검사를 통과하고 나면 환승 구역에서 기다릴게요.)

20.Customs Officer (세관관리관): "The customs officer inspected my bags thoroughly."
(세관 관리관이 내 가방을 철저하게 검사했어요.)

 

이 정도만 알아 두어도 출입국 하는데 문제는 없지 않을까 한다.. 조금씩 쉬운 표현부터..

이젠 출입국 심사를 할 때 어깨 쫙  펴고 당당하게... 파이팅!!!
